A Ouray Sunrise Elopement

This magical sunrise elopement was utterly breathtaking in more ways than one.

Starting with the fact that we all woke up at 3:00am to head up the dark and winding back roads outside Ouray, Colorado to catch the sunrise. It's an odd concept being in the pitch black back country, not knowing what your surroundings look like or how high you're actually going. It wasn't until 4:30am or so when the light began to peek over the mountains when we could really see the amazing landscape around us.

With their head lamps on, Stasia and Ethan walked up to the highest point where they waited until just enough light was cast on their faces to begin their romantic ceremony and exchange their vows.

With their favorite song playing in the background, "Strawberries" by Caamp, they enjoyed a heartfelt kiss and of course a celebratory glass of champagne. Watching the sun hit the mountain peaks it was if the world had awaken to witness such a special moment. Just the two of them, and the promise of a beautiful lifetime of sunrises together.

Colorado mountains offer a plethora of photo opportunities, and these two were sure to take advantage of that. They explored the mountaintop a bit, making sure to take in every moment of their special morning.

At the bottom of the mountain a warm cup of coffee, and a delicious breakfast awaited them. Pre-set on an adorable picnic table, Stasia and Ethan enjoyed a bite to eat before setting off on an adventure together.

With the temperatures warming, and a beautiful turquoise lake behind them they chose to enjoy a nice paddle board session together. (Yes, in their wedding attire)!!

Afterall, It wouldn't be an adventure elopement without a little adventure!
