We’ve listed 10 of what we believe to be the dreamiest mountain wedding venues in Southwest Colorado! Based solely on their location and the surrounding mountain views. You can’t go wrong saying “I do” at any of these spots.

Eureka Lodge

Listed at #1 for a reason. Nestled in the valley alongside the Animas River, this historic mining lodge provides venue space and lodging for a full weekend getaway.

It’s 360 mountain views are enough to leave you in awe; adding a beautiful event amongst that makes it one of the dreamiest mountain venues in our opinion.

Mountain Clubhouse at Glacier Club

This Glacier Club member’s only venue is located 20 minutes north of Durango, CO. Surrounded by the majestic peaks of the San Juan mountains and more than 300 million acres of protected wilderness, this venue is nothing short of stunning!

It’s ceremony site provides an idyllic mountain setting, stone fire pits, and patio seating perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour. The indoor space built to look like a large cabin has a beautiful stone fireplace, antler chandeliers, and floor to ceiling windows that really gives you that luxury high alpine resort feel.

These wedding photos speak for themselves, which is why we consider this place to be one of our favorites!

Telluride Sleighs & Wagons

Talk about an experience! Located on the historic Aldasoro Ranch just north of Telluride, this venue space takes you into the hills of Telluride’s gorgeous scenery. With it’s large open spaces, and intimae groves of aspen trees you can host an event of any size here. The venue offers permanent tents and various locations – One being Telluride Sleighs & Wagons. An intimate canvas tent with room to host up to 20 guests for a plated dinner, and a ceremony spot among the aspen trees. It’s a perfectly romantic space, and we highly recommend it for your micro-wedding.

Rooftop at The Imogene Hotel

A historic Ouray hotel nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains was recently renovated to include 6 unique guest rooms, a whiskey bar and a rooftop restaurant. This rooftop space doubles as an intimate venue for weddings up to 40 guests. Dance under the stars, enjoy cocktails at the whiskey bar and surround yourself with 360 views! Ouray is known as the ‘Switzerland of America’ for a reason, and The Imogene Hotel has captured just that.

Red Mountain Alpine Lodge

For the adventure seeking couples, looking to host an intimate weekend in the backcountry. Completely unplugged, and completely immersed in the wilderness; the Red Mountain Alpine Lodge is one of the coolest spots to host your wedding. This large A-frame cabin has been featured in magazines for it’s cozy hygge cabin vibes. It’s like hosting an elevated dinner party in the woods! It’s guest quarters can accommodate up to 25, and it’s large living area can accommodate up to 40 for a reception. The ceremony deck is the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the outdoors while exchanging your vows and love for one another.

Mountain Lodge Telluride

A luxury mountainside resort. It’s stunning log cabin-esque resort is surrounded by 14,000 ft peaks, acres of pine trees and pristine ski terrain. Yep, you guessed it, it’s a ski in ski out lodge during the winter!

The venue itself has a chic rustic feel to it, with it’s floor to ceiling windows, wood burning fireplace and large outdoor patio overlooking the surrounding peaks.

Accommodations are steps away, as well as the Telluride gondola – a fun ride to and from downtown Telluride.

Black Diamond Lodge

This unique venue is located 25 miles north of Durango, Colorado. It’s views include the ‘The Needles’ peaks and large groves of aspen that turn bright yellow in the fall! It’s large space offers overnight accommodations for up to 48 guests, and gorgeous reception area for 80 guests. The bonus downstairs game room and spa/hot tubs make it the perfect weekend getaway in the mountains. You can host your gorgeous wedding while also enjoying a few days with those you love most.

Purgatory Resort

Views views views and more views. I mean what else can you expect when your wedding ceremony is at 10,800ft elevation! Purgatory Resort is home to several venue spaces; Dante’s – a secluded mountain ski lodge with views of all five surrounding mountain ranges, and Purgy’s – a ski lodge located at the base of the mountain. The ceremony spots are our absolute favorite with their green-screen like backdrops (although it’s 100% real)!

Pictured here is the Paradise site, accessible by chair lift, and often paired with Purgy’s – the venue at the base of the mountain!

River Bend Ranch

The name says it all. River Bend Ranch is a quaint little piece of property 5 miles north of Durango, Colorado. It’s permanent barn structure gives it a rustic and casual feel for couples hoping to enjoy an indoor/outdoor event. The lush willow trees, the large pond, and the red rock on the mountains – it’s desirable for it’s various ceremony backdrops. The convenient location to town, the large open floorplan, the bridal suite, and the on-site guest cabin are it’s biggest draws, and we know you’ll agree. Double R Ranch

Located in the heart of an aspen grove, this property is among the top of the hidden gems in our area!

If you like log cabins, yurts, aspen groves, and bright pink sunsets then this is your place!

The covered pavilion is located alongside the ancient aspen groves and can accommodate up to 200 guests. The on-site lodging and nearby campgrounds make for the perfect 3 day weekend celebration.
